EXPERIENCE
THE LAUNCH
Me'Lisa achieved her childhood dream at 21 by becoming a Social Science & AVID teacher. She taught for 6 years. During this time she earned her Masters in Education. Her research focused on using world music to create youth Geography programming.
After teaching she entered nonprofit education by becoming a Museum Public Programs Manager.
THE CALL
After the tragic murder of Stephon Clark in Sacramento, California. Me'Lisa felt a stronger call to youth mentorship. She became an Operations & Development Director for a new grassroots nonprofit and co-created mentorship programs for Black & Brown youth.
In 2019, Me'Lisa became a part-time Consultant to support additional community organizations.
CHARITABLE EXPANSION
In 2020 amidst the COVID pandemic, Me'Lisa wanted to be a resource and solution to the chaotic education and cultural sector circumstances. She founded CULTURPHORIUM, Inc. to meet the need for Multicultural History and Social Science promotion and skill development.
